4 restaurants showcased the classic American burger in the Rock Rapids Burger Battle. Residents could eat in or order to go, each burger was then rated to have their say in which restaurant is crowned Burger Battle Champion! Participating restaurants include: Union Jacks, Sunshine Deli, Sporty’s & 918 Grill at the Rock River Country Club. Battle runs May 10-31.
How the battle went down:
The Rock Rapids Burger Battle ran from May 10 to May 31. The community got to  assign up to five points in each of five categories for every featured burger they try. The burger with the highest number of points at the conclusion of the battle is declared the winner! Get ready to vote on each burger by scanning the QR Code on the card that you receive when you order your burger.

The Burger Battle Champion will WIN $500 cash if they are a Chamber of Commerce member, $300 if they are a non-member. Not only will the business win, but YOUR name will be put in a drawing for gift certificates when you try ALL 4 BURGERS.

Two 3 oz beef smash burgers, American pepper jack cheese melted to perfection, in-house chipotle sauce, chopped hatch green chiles, and Ellsworth Locker beef bacon on a fresh Casey’s Bakery cheddar onion bun toasted with house made beef
butter.

1/3 pound never frozen certified angus beef patty piled high with American and swiss cheese, jalapeno cured bacon, black forest ham and fried egg on a gourmet Kaiser bun topped with full garden and a side of peanut butter with choice of potato.
