Airport
Rock Rapids Municipal Airport is located one mile north of Rock Rapids on the west side of North Union Street, across the street from the Rock River Country Club. It consists of one 3100 foot 16/34 runway, one fixed base operator, 16 rental hangars, credit card fuel purchases, and pilot lounge.
The runway is 16/34 configuration, 3100 feet long by 50 feet wide. It is located to the west of the rental hangars, the maintenance shop and the pilot lounge.
Rock Rapids Municipal Airport has available 16 hangar rental units that rent for $80.00 per month. Currently all units are occupied.
Aviation Fuel is available 24 hours for purchase with credit card.
A new Pilot Lounge was constructed in 2004 with funding from the Iowa Department of Transportation.
