Community Dress Up Days are as follows….

Friday, Dec. 2: Rudolph RED: Wear as much RED as you can, or reindeer antlers, or a red nose!

Friday, Dec. 9: SMOOTH as Velvet, Mad for PLAID: Wear some winter velvet or plaid!

Friday, Dec. 16: It’s SWEATER WEATHER: Wear an ugly or festive sweater/sweatshirt

Friday, Dec. 23: FESTIVE is always in STYLE: Dress in your MOST FESTIVE holiday look! Go all out!!

To show off your Christmas spirit, you need to post a photo of yourself, your family, your co-workers, etc… in your festive apparel on the Chamber’s Facebook page for a chance to win a $25 Chamber gift certificate!

One winner will be selected each week!

Alert: Tornado Siren TestingLyon Country 911 has upgraded their 911 dispatch center equipment this past week and need to test all aspects of the new equipment. All have been tested except for the tornado sirens and this needs to be done before they sign off on the final payment for the system upgrades. We will test sirens on Monday November 28th at 10:00am

The Great Rock Rapids Pumpkin Smash

Details: 6 people will be smashing a pumpkin for a chance to win $700 in Chamber Gift Certificates!

$5 tickets can be purchased at the Chamber office now until Oct. 24 at 2 pm for a chance to have your name drawn!

5 Names will be randomly drawn on Monday, Oct. 24. The winners will be notified & must attend the smash on Tuesday.

If your name was not drawn or if you did not purchase a ticket, you will have a chance to purchase tickets at the smash from 4:30-4:50 pm & 1 more ticket will be drawn at random.

The smash will begin promptly at 5:00 pm!

Prizes:

1 winner:  $300 Chamber Gift Certificate

3 winners:  $100 Chamber Gift Certificates

$20 advanced tickets avail. at Country Boutique, Details & the Chamber office.
Tickets can also be reserved with a debit/credit card ($2 fee applies) by calling the Chamber office at 472-3456 or stopping by.
$25 tickets can also be purchased the day of the event from 12-2:30 pm.
Participants redeem their ticket at the Chamber office for a goodie bag which includes a list of participating businesses & their in store specials that are good from 12-4 pm the day of Wine Walk only.
Participants stop into participating businesses for wine samples, appetizers & in store specials. After they have hit all the businesses they can drop their full punch card off at the last business for a chance to win Chamber gift certificates!
*Must be 21 to participate
*Must show ID
*Ticket sales apply to the gift bag purchase only, not wine samples
*Must have entire card punched to be eligible for drawing
