Rock Rapids Cleanup Days 2020

July 9th 1:00-8:00pm  & July 11th  8:00 am – Noon

This year the format for cleanup days is new. We will have a central drop off location that will be open 2 different times help accommodate busy schedules. The new procedure is joint decision between the public works department and the garbage contractors, in an effort to keep costs down, prevent out of town garbage from being disposed of in the city cleanup days, and to prevent messes caused by damaged items as people rummaged through piles. 

Drop off will be in the city lot between 2nd and 3rd ave. Please enter from the north off of 2nd ave, and exit to the south onto 3rd Ave. There will be workers there that will help direct you, and they will have the tags for the appliances and other electronic items that require stickers available for purchase. 

If you have concerns about getting items to the drop off, there have been numerous offers from local church groups and neighbors to help, just ask. You may also contact your garbage contractor about any other pickup options. For questions, call 472-2553.
