The Rock River and Island Park have long been known as a place to enjoy the great outdoors. Years ago, you could find area families enjoying the swinging bridge, perhaps swimming in the river, sliding down the big slides, fishing with friends or a casual walk through the park as shown in the three scenes. It’s nice to know that some of life’s simple pleasures still exist today.
Island Park Mural was retired in 2016 and a tribute with the mural on it remains in this location.
