Rock Rapids residents fondly remember the soda fountains of years ago. Malts, sundaes, ice cream sodas and lime phosphates were the bill of fare during those times, with a glass of soda for a nickel and 20 flavors of ice cream from which to choose. The last soda fountain in Rock Rapids was located in Corner Rexall Drugs, the building where this mural can be found.
